F&M Projects sees the greatest needs of the contemporary artist as having access to researchers and writers to communicate their work, and time and space to create. F&M Projects provides these resources through two primary programs: an extensive publication program, and a high caliber residency program—both open to artists of all disciplines.

Founded by French & Michigan, F&M Projects is a registered nonprofit corporation with 501(c)(3) tax exemption status.

Publication Program

F&M Projects’ publication program provides artists with the opportunity to have a book produced on their work. Accepted through a rigorous application process, artists are paired with researchers and writers that explore the artist’s subject matter to create an insightful record of an installation, series, or multiple years worth of work. Residency Program

F&M Projects’ residency program centers on providing artists with space and time as they transition into their careers. Residencies consist of rent controlled houses throughout the urban core of San Antonio, giving residents of various artistic approaches actual living and studio space. Learn more.
