Best Quality Daughter is a pop-up series led by Jennifer Ling Datchuk and Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin celebrating culture, art, food, and community while exploring their identity as half Asian women. Proceeds from this event go to F&M Projects to support the production of Datchuk's upcoming publication.
Datchuk’s artwork explores themes of identity, race, and gender. She often describes herself as half white, half Chinese, or half and half. Describing this event as the halfway point between “white” New Year and Chinese New Year is a call to how the artist investigates her own identity. Click here to learn more about her work!
Special thanks to Tenko Ramen, Dorcol, and our host Charlie Biedenharn for supporting local arts organizations!
